JM Nimue-x-RRR Navarre (3/28/10)

Rodere Rattery is suprised and pleased to announce the birth of 7 rittens to Nimue and Navarre. 6 have survived.

They are already showing their markings. Every one has a headspot. There is only one male. The rest are girls. We won't know for a while yet if any are downunders.

Nimue had us dupped and gave birth before we thought she was due. She didn't look it. Pics are being taken and we'll update soon.

The babies will be opening their eyes soon. Pictures have been posted on our photobucket.

We have three downunders in this litter. Two varigated and a split masked. The varigated are already reserved.

We may have two Russian Blue in this litter. Its very dark, darker than my previous breedings. We were hoping to improve the Russian blue color with Nimue's line and it looks like that's been accomplished with this litter.

We are very happy with the results of our first outcross.

They babies are opening their eyes! All but one had the eyes opening last night. The boy was the first to have them fully open.

These are the darkest Russian blues I've ever seen. Its so dark its hard to tell sometimes. I am interested to see how it looks when they have their adult coats.

Better belly shots are coming too. I'll try and get some good photos in the morning.

The babies will be 6wks old on May the 9th. The boy is reserved for another rattery.

Rodere Rattery has reserved two of the girls and one other is reserved.

We had an adopter back out on two girls in prospect of adopting from Sorcha and Melod's litter. In light of that, they are currently available.

We've decided everyone is black and that there are no Russian Blue. They really had a blue tinge there for a while, but it has toned down. We hope to see Russian Blue in Nimue's next litter.

We've had some changes. JM and I made the decision to forgo their adoption at this time; in favor of there being a more appropriate male for their breeding program and goals in the future. However he is ideal for the downunder line here and will be fathering future generations at RRR.

In addition, the two available girls have been reserved.
